SPANIOLA, Doris Ellen (Bloss) - Age 88, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, November 3 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek.  Pastor J.D. Landis officiating.  Burial following in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be 2-9 PM Friday, where a Son's of Italy memorial service will be held at 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.  Doris was born May 6, 1919 in Swartz Creek, the daughter of William and Grace (Bookham) Duley.  She married Charles Bloss March 11, 1939 and he preceded her in death March 21, 1970; she then married Paul Spaniola June 27, 1981.  Doris had been a resident of Swartz Creek her entire life  She worked at Paul's Pipe Shop for many years and enjoyed traveling.  Surviving are:  husband, Paul; 11 children, Karen Blount of Tucson, AZ, Sharon and husband Dennie Smallwood of Flushing, Sandra and husband Mark Rydzak of Tucson, AZ, James Spaniola of Fenton, Patricia and husband David Schoenfield of Swartz Creek, Janice and husband Malcolm Caudle of Davison, Lois Durish of Swartz Creek, Pauline and husband Murray Maurer of Kalamazoo, Daniel and wife Cheryl Spaniola of Swartz Creek, Sr. Jacqueline Spaniola of Three Rivers, WI, Nora Spaniola of Flint; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Harlan Duley of Swartz Creek; 2 sons-in-law, Terry and wife Bebe Krotzer of Swartz Creek and Mike Shumaker of Swartz Creek.  She was preceded in death by daughter, Phyllis Shumaker; son, Carl Spaniola; daughter-in-law, Mae Spaniola; and son-in-law, Robert Durish.
