MANNS, Doris Elaine - age 73, of Flushing, died November 16, 2020. Doris is celebrating her birthday in Heaven wearing her angel wings. Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private family service will be held 1 PM Friday, November 20, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473. Friends may view the live stream service on her obituary page at sharpfuneralhomes.com. A public visitation will be held from 11 AM - 1 PM Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Flint Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Old Newsboys of Flint or the charity of one's choice. Doris was born November 16, 1947 in Flint, the daughter of William A. and Doris L. (Crankshaw) Manns. Doris was a very special woman. She loved life and everyone around her. She never met a stranger! Doris enjoyed many activities, especially bingo. Surviving are: sister, Marilyn (Lee) Shaw of Flint; two nieces, Michelle (Neil) Wendt of Goodrich and Jennifer (Brett) Wardrop of Grand Rapids; nephew, Jamie Shaw of Carey, ID; great-nieces and great-nephew, Elizabeth and William Wendt and Connor and Devin Wardrop; uncle, Frank Crankshaw; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by: her parents; aunt and uncle, Billie and Vern Weeden; aunt, Lillian Crankshaw. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Fostrian Nursing Home and all of the McLaren-Flint staff that took wonderful care of her the past several months.
