Doris Kiacz

KIACZ, Doris Helen- Age 92, of Lennon, died Sunday, January 11, 2015. Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday, January 14, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Owosso. Visitation will be held 6 - 9 PM Monday, 2-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Durand or Corunna Educational Foundation. Doris was born April 12, 1922 in Royal Oak, the daughter of LaMont and Celia E.(Cameron) Tiffany. She graduated from Holly High School and received her Bachelor and Master's degrees from Eastern Michigan University. She married Rudolph Joseph Kiacz on August 5, 1944 in Flint and he preceded her in death on June 24, 1997. Doris retired from Durand area schools in 1987. She helped organize the County Reading Association and was a member of M.A.R.S.P. Doris is survived by her children, Barbara Ann (Steve) Godra of Lennon, Gail Irene Sturgeon of Lennon; grandchildren, Jocelyn (Kevin) Trzil, Miranda (Chad) Latimer, Joseph DiPaolo, Andrea (Shawn) Berry, Graziano DiPaolo, Graham (Stacy) Sturgeon, Elise Sturgeon and Sydney Sturgeon; 10 great-grandchildren.
