HODGKIN, Doris M."Toni" - age 86, of Fenton, died Friday, March 27, 2015. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Monday with a Rosary being prayed at 7 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of mass on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Sigma Phi Gamma. Doris was born February 9, 1929 in Alpena, the daughter of Anthony and Evelyn (Brunette) Marzean. She married Richard Hodgkin on May 19, 1962 in Grand Ledge. In her younger years she danced professionally and had studios in Florida and California. She was an active member of Sigma Phi Gamma. Doris was an avid golfer and loved to travel. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren perform on stage and on the field. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Everyone loved her strawberry jam and canned peaches. Doris is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Karen (Scott) Burdick, David (Naomi) Hodgkin, Michelle (Craig) Elliott, John (Holly) Hodgkin; grandchildren, Eric and Kevin Burdick, Sondra (Matt) Cummings, Zachary and Chandler Hodgkin, Katherine and Madeline Elliott, Margaret, Colin and Skye Hodgkin; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Bryson, and Brennan Cummings; sister, Shirley (Albert) Toaz; numerous nieces and nephews.
