Doris Dunkerson

DUNKERSON, Doris Virginia - Age 89, of Grand Blanc, gained her heavenly reward Saturday,November 18, 2017 surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held 12PM Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Troy Postlethwaite officiating. Interment to follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Dr. Holly. Visitation will be held 11AM until time of service Wednesday. Doris was born November 11, 1928 in McCrory, AR., the daughter of the late Odis H. and Eunice O. (McGowan) Holden. She married Chester Dunkerson on July 31, 1950 in Blytheville, AR, he preceded her in death on July 1, 2016. Doris enjoyed reading, sewing, antique collecting and especially spending time with her family. Surviving are: children, Dennis (Carol) Dunkerson of Flushing, Deborah Dunkerson of Grand Blanc, Scott (Kathy) Dunkerson of Mt. Pleasant, WI., Carla (Jim) Vick of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Brad Dunkerson, Angie (Dan) Latesky, Justin Dunkerson, Jamie (Scott) Frayer, Aaron Dunkerson, Jake Dunkerson, Katie Vick, Holden Vick; 8 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Duncan, Ruth (Gene) Ballard, Lavelle Reynolds, Anne (Vay) Ingram; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ronald Dunkerson; and great granddaughter Natalie Moreno; 4 brothers and 1 Sister.
