COLVIN, Doris Margaret - Age 84, of Winchester, KY, formerly of Flint Twp., died Thursday, April 24, 2003 in Winchester KY. A funeral service will be held 1PM Monday, April 28, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor J.D. Landis officiating. Burial to follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be 7-9PM Saturday and 2-5 and 7-9PM Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions in Mrs. Colvin's name to Hospice East of Winchester, KY. Mrs. Colvin was born April 2, 1919 in Plymouth, MI, the daughter of Clarence James and Dorothy (Wooll) Gottschalk. She married Nile Dean Colvin June 26, 1940 in Flint, MI. and she was a member of Swartz Creek United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School; a member of the United Methodist Women's Rebecca Circle; and a former Cub Scout leader. Mrs. Colvin is survived by: her husband, Nile; daughter, Patricia and husband Louis Tahash of Winchester, KY; son, David and wife Janet Colvin of Spruce Pine, NC; daughter, Janice and husband Ronald Shepherd of West Branch, MI; grandchildren, Deborah and husband Mark Todd, Jayne and husband Darrell Glass, Lyle Smith, Dara Lea and husband Mark Horne, Daniel and wife Mary Colvin, Derek Waxell, Sean Waxell, Paul Waxell, Daniel D. Waxell, Michael Tahash, Christopher Hutchinson; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Leland Gottschalk of Mt. Morris, MI; many nieces and nephews; special friend, T.Q. McKitric. Mrs. Colvin was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary J. Colvin in 1980; brothers, Lynn Gottschalk, Cecil Mitchell, Charles Mitchell; and stepmother, Margie (Mitchell) Gottschalk.
