BROOM, Dorinda Dawn -- Age 56, of Flint, died June 21, 2016. Services will be held 1 PM Saturday June 25 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Jim Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held 11 AM until time of service on Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Children's Miracle Network. Dorinda was born August 2, 1959 in Flint the daughter of Dale Dwayne and Merry (Throne) Broom. She was employed at Hurley Medical Center as a Public Safety Supervisor, retiring after 36 years of service. She loved photography, cooking, nature, trips up north, and the Detroit Tigers. She is survived by her son, Justin; mother, Merry; brother, Doug (Teresa) Broom; sister, Debbie (Dave) Kittell; brother, David Broom; several nieces and nephews; many special friends.
