THOMPSON, Donna M. - age 73, of Swartz Creek, was reunited with her husband, Ronald on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at her residence. Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to C.A.R.E. (Citizens for Animal Rescue and Emergency). Mrs. Thompson was born January 8, 1944 in Joliet, IL, the daughter of Donald and Margaret (Leiker) Chambers. She married Ronald Thompson on November 11, 1962 and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2003. She was an animal lover and was past president and active in C.A.R.E. Citizens for Animal Rescue and Emergency for over 30 years. Mrs. Thompson was involved in her family's businesses Chambers Electronics and Housing Products. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. Donna loved to serve others. Surviving are: daughter, Connie (Dennis) Barron of Gaines; son, Ron (Shelley) Thompson of Swartz Creek; eight grandchildren, Amber (Todd) Fraelich, Stephanie (Blake) Garland, Caleb Waltz, Anna Burza, Christen Thompson, Dalton Goodman, Sara Burza, and Lily Thompson; four great-grandchildren, Steven Logan, Ruby, Summer and Lila Fraelich; sister-in-law, Sharon Chambers; special friend, Jan Coburn; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Bill and Bob Chambers. Friends may share an online tribute on the obituary page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
