STRAIT, Donna Marie (Walter-Wardrop) - Age 59, of Kiln, MS formerly of Flint, died Tuesday, January 12, 2016. Services will be held Saturday, January 30th at 2 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 1PM until time of service on Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Donna M. Strait Memorial Fund, c/o Sharp Funeral Homes. Donna was born August 25, 1956 in Flint, the daughter of Howard John Walter and Coleen Ann Gilbert. She attended Carmen High School. She had resided in Kiln, Mississippi with her long term boyfriend, Keith Crothers for the past 10 years coming from Flint. Donna worked as a painter's assistant. She enjoyed bonfires, fishing, gardening, and the outdoors. Surviving are: 3 children, James Keith Wardrop, Jr., Jessica Marie Wardrop, and Jerry Jack (Melissa) Wardrop; 9 grandchildren; mother, Coleen Margetson; father, Howard Walter; brothers, Darryl (Cheryl) Walter and Ralph (Barbara) Margetson; sister, Brenda Walter; and several nieces and nephews.
