SEELEY, Donna Loraine - age 85 and lifelong resident of Flint, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025. In accordance with Donna's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held.
Donna was born on June 1, 1939 in Flint, Michigan to the late Halford and Mildred (Hanners) Seeley and is a 1957 graduate of Flint Central High School. Some of Donna’s fondest memories were those of growing up in the Buzzell House, also known as the Little Red House, which later became the first structure purchased and relocated to Crossroads Village. She started her work career as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone and AC Spark Plug before transitioning to McLaren Hospital where she retired after 42 years of service. Donna enjoyed camping, cooking out, traveling, Florida trips and watching sports; especially Michigan basketball. She also loved to cook and bake, especially for family and friends, and prided herself on her old fashioned molasses cookies which were her family’s Christmas favorite.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Dana Whipple of Grand Blanc; son, Darren Osborn of Lapeer; brothers, Patrick (Leann) Seeley and Scott Seeley; sister, Paula (Daan) van Schooneveld; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews and dear friend Clare Elmore (Sis). She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dathan Osborn; and husband, Earnest Van Buren.
