MARWEDE, Donna E. (Williams), age 87, of Fenton, died Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Genesys Health Park knowingly surrounded by her family. A Memorial Service will be held 12:30PM Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Lake Fenton United Methodist Church, 2581 N. Long Lake Rd., Fenton. Rev. Emerson Arntz and Rev. James Mascow officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30AM Saturday until the time of service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Lake Fenton United Methodist Church. Donna was born March 13, 1919 in Flint, the daughter of John and Emma (Patterson) Williams. She was a 1937 graduate of Fenton High School and had attended Baker Business College. Donna married Melbourne Marwede on April 21, 1943 in Augusta, Georgia and he preceded her in death on September 12, 1974. She was employed by Lake Fenton Community Schools as a secretary for 12 years, retiring in 1966. Donna was a longtime faithful member of Lake Fenton United Methodist Church, having been active in the church for 75 years. People were an important part of her life, she cared deeply for others and in return many people loved her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be cherished forever. Surviving are her daughter, Karen Conklin and husband Dennis of Fenton; 2 grandchildren, Michael Conklin of Grand Blanc, Pamela Conklin of Wixom; sister, Marjorie Watters of Orlando, Florida; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many good friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Shirley Williams; brother, Thomas Morgan and wife Marie; brother-in-law, Donald Watters.
