Donelda Jean Stoppert went to be with her Lord unexpectedly on December 16, 2021.
Jean was born in Flint, Michigan to Earl and Effie Meredith. She remained in Flint for most of her life where she and her husband, Guy H. Stoppert raised their two daughters and made a wonderful life together.
Jean was known for her strikingly beautiful blue eyes and her contagious laughter. She loved her family with a passion and would never turn down an opportunity to be together with them. The Lord gave her the gift of an eye for detail and a love for intricate crafting. She was an avid reader, loved playing bridge, and was quite the scrabble contender! She had a deeply rooted love for her state and spent much of her life enjoying northern Michigan, especially the Beulah area.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Effie Meredith; her brother, Wayne Meredith; her sister, Doris Kitchell, her husband Guy H. Stoppert; daughter, Laura Martin; and son-in-law, James Reed.
She is survived by her daughter, Louise Reed; grandchildren, Erin Boillat (Aaron), Ashley Van Dyken (Kurt), Joseph Martin, and Meredith Martin; eight great grandchildren; and many others whom she loved dearly.
Cremation has taken place and the family will be having a private gathering at a later date to honor Jean.
