Donald Wheeler

WHEELER, Donald James - Age 74, of Fenton, died Thursday, October 28, 2021.  Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Monday, November 1, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton (A live stream of the service will be available on Donald's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com).  Fr. Donald was born June 5, 1947 in Detroit, the son of Raymond Everett and Elaine Dorothy (Julian) Wheeler.  He was a 1965 graduate of Redford High School.  He married Susan Kay Bellinger April 21, 1978 in Garden City.  He had resided in Fenton since 1989 coming from Canton/Redford.  Donald retired in 2010 from the Pipefitters Local #636 after 42 years of service.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Livonia.  He was a classic car enthusiast and had owned a 1967 Malibu Chevelle.  He also loved to golf.

Surviving are: his wife of 43 years, Susan Kay Wheeler; children, Christopher (Virginia "Ginny") Wheeler of Wisconsin, Raymond (Deana) Wheeler of Texas, Stephanie Wheeler of Waterford, and Connie (Brian) Romska of Fenton; grandchildren, Brittany (Joey) Morgon, Brent Wheeler, Benjamin Wheeler, Becca Wheeler, Delaney Sacia, Rex Sacia, Jacob Parko, Robert Parko, Xander Romska, and Alex Wheeler; siblings, Frederick (Marilyn) Wheeler of Spring Lake, Elaine (Michael Thompson) Wheeler of California, and Matthew (Ursula) Wheeler of Germany; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leslie, Kenneth, and Douglas Wheeler; sister, Monica Wheeler; nephew, Douglas Wheeler.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
