Donald Teggerdine

TEGGERDINE, Donald Lee - Age 86, of Fenton, died Wednesday, October 7, 2020.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 12, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton.  Pastor John Vannest and Pastor Tom Hoose officiating.  Burial in Tyrone Memory Gardens, Fenton.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM.  Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Donald was born June 16, 1934 in Clarkston, the son of Kerton Edgar and Rose Ada (Peet) Teggerdine.  He was a1952 graduate of Hartland High School.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He married Dorothy Elaine Green November 21, 1953 in Fenton.  Donald had resided in Fenton since 1941.  He was a life long farmer; He retired from GM Proving Grounds in Milford after 32 years of service; He also had worked with Rob Burden and Sons Excavating.  He attended Faith Church in Gaines.  He was a member of the Civil War Round Table, Tyrone Historical Society, Silver Spurs Square Dancing Club, and the Livingston County Conservation.

Surviving are: his wife of 66 years, Elaine; daughter, Julie Teggerdine; son, Jeffrey Teggerdine; grandchildren, Katie (Brent) Wentworth, Ashley (Dave) DeForest, Joshua Teggerdine, Nicholas Teggerdine, Chris Teggerdine, and Marie Garcia; great grandchildren, Colin, Mason, Jacob, and Jolene; brothers, David (Shirley) Teggerdine and Wayne (Betty) Teggerdine; sister, Jean Previl; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Rose Teggerdine; grandson, Adam Schaub; and sister, Juanita Smith.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
