Donald Stull

STULL, Donald - Age 81, of Swartz Creek, saw the face of his glorious Savior, Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 4:30 AM. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 6, 2008 at New Life Christian Fellowship Church, 2237 E. Reid Road, Grand Blanc, with Pastor Bob Roberts and Pastor Maurice Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 PM until time of service Saturday. Donald was born May 2, 1927 in Glomar, KY, the son of Donald and Celestial (Almond) Stull. He married Peggy Cruey April 19, 1958 in Tazewell, VA. He retired in 1989 from Flint City Plumbing and Heating and was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #370. Donald also worked for Montgomery Ward, Davany Plumbing and Heating and Goyette Mechanical. He built and raced for NASCAR and was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Surviving are: wife, Peggy; daughter, Deborah and husband Larry Bennett; 2 granddaughters, Jessica and husband Michael Byrne, Alicia and husband Dr. Nathan Landesman all of Swartz Creek; 6 great grandchildren, Airman 1st Class, Eric Byrne, Allison, Adam, Emery, Aidan and Addison Byrne; 2 sisters, Fay Giglia of Ft. Thomas, KY, JoAnn and husband M.B. Walker of Bradley, WV; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Jimmy and Elmer Stull; 2 sisters, Nora Sue Stull and Ruth Lemon.
