Donald W. Stone

STONE, Donald W. -- Age 79, of Fenton, died Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at McLaren Regional Medical Center.  Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, January 17, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, Pastor Dale Swihart officiating.  Visitation will be 10 AM until the time of service Saturday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the charity of choice. Mr. Stone was born May 16, 1924 in Traverse City the son of Dewey and Myrtle (Grahl) Stone. He had resided in Fenton for 33 years. He married Nancy J. Sorensen in Fenton on July 12, 1968. Mr. Stone was a graduate of Ferris State University and WWII veteran. He retired from Buick in 1985 as a General Supervisor in GMASA. He enjoyed music, reading, and traveling. Surviving are: wife Nancy; 4 sons, James and wife Ann of Dearborn, Tom and wife June of Dallas, TX, Steven and companion Lucy Gates of Capac, Barry and fiancee Dana Shafer of Marietta, GA; 3 grandsons, Thomas, Donald, and Jon; 6 great-grandchildren.
