STARKS, Donald Keith - Age 92, of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Flint, died Saturday, June 16, 2018. Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Dean Dumbrille officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 10 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to American Cancer Society. Donald was born July 17, 1925 in Flint, the son of Lester Harold and Sarah Laura (Coppens) Starks. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy. He married Martha Louise Rucker June 1954 and she preceded him in death September 28, 2014. Donald had worked for Smith Bridgeman's Department Store in Flint. Surviving are: his children, Joan (Ray) Culbert of Linden, Diane Diener of Fenton, Debra (Bryan) Waineo of Northville, Donald (Debbie) Starks, Jr. of Arkansas, Lisa Starks of Florida, and Michelle (Stacey) Paulin of Florida; 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
