Donald Vincent Snider

SNIDER, Donald Vincent - age 96 of Flint Twp, died June 26, 2023. Graveside services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Bendle Cemetery, 9385 Beecher Rd., Flushing. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Snider was born February 14, 1927, in Campbell, MO, the son of Charles and Edith (Vincent) Snider. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. Donald married Mildred Thomas on January 22, 1957 and she preceded him in death on June 16, 2010. He retired from the City of Flint Board of Education as a painter. Donald was a hardworking, family man who could be generous to a fault. He truly cared about people. Donald enjoyed gardening, farming, animals and just being outdoors. Surviving are: daughter, Donna (Steven) Kunkle of Flint Township; two granddaughters, Lauren Kunkle of Grand Blanc and Kristen (Matthew) McCrandall of Pinckney; great-grandchildren, Claire Dunbar, Alexandria Kunkle and Archer McCrandall; many nieces and nephews; close neighbor, Janice Mars. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, and two brothers, Bois "Frank" Snider and Elton Snider.
