Donald Skarritt

SKARRITT, Donald Joseph - Age 83, of Swartz Creek, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020. Private graveside service will take place 1 PM, Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Oxbow Lakeside Cemetery, White Lake Township. Donald was born on  May 30, 1937 in Commerce, Michigan, the son of George and Pauline (McCallum) Skarritt. He graduated from Walled Lake High School. Donald attended the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University. He served in the United States Army Reserves for 6 Years. Donald worked in commercial real estate for many years until his retirement. In his free time he enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his 2 children, David Skarritt and Dana (Richard) Rickert; 3 grandchildren, Morgan (Joseph) Rohen, Hannah (Mitchel) Kirk and Brenden Rickert; 2 great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Sloane Rohen; and 3 sisters, Joan Gofton, Pauline Keller and Margaret (Randy) Melville.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, George and Pauline Skarritt; brother, Richard (Elaine) Skarritt; baby brother and baby sister, James and Harriet; and 2 brother-in-law's, Ross Gofton and Ralph Keller. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
