Donald Daniel ROUSSEAU

ROUSSEAU, Donald Daniel, age 71, of Gladwin, formerly of Swartz Creek, passed away at home, surrounded by his family. Services will be 11:00a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 1:00-8:00p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society or to the family. Donald was born December 7, 1939 in Flint the son of the late Donald and Helen (Broka) Rousseau. He married Jenny Gail Fisher on August 8, 1959 in Flint. Donald graduated from Flint Technical High School and earned his Bachelor Degree in Engineering from General Motors Institute. Donald went on to a long career with General Motors and EDS, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Swartz Creek Kiwanis and was Past Grand Marshall for the Swartz Creek Hometown Days. Donald enjoyed music, traveling, fishing, the Piston's, and most of all, his family. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Jenny Rousseau; 4 children, Laura Gayle Adams (Brian Lane), Corey Alan Rousseau (Mary), Heather Louise Waltrip (Richard), Adam Daniel Rousseau (Andrea); 18 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Nancy Daenzer (Donald), Carol Ann Rousseau; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
