PRIESTLEY, Donald A. age 77, of Oscoda, formerly of Fenton, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2009 in Florida. Funeral Services will be 1PM Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd, Grand Blanc Twp. with Rev. Don Neuville officiating. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-8PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice or Alcoholics Anonymous. Donald was born April 6, 1932 in South Bend, Indiana the son of the late Alonzo Ballard and Wilma Ruth (Cuyler) Priestley. He married Pauline Loretta Gell on April 13, 1956 in Flint. Donald graduated from Linden High School then attended Flint Junior College and Michigan State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving as Staff Sergeant in the Korean War. Donald was employed by the State of Michigan for 30 years as a Bank Examiner until his retirement in 1994. He was co-chairman of legislation for AARP and a member of SERA (State Employees Retirement Association). Surviving are his wife of nearly 53 years, Pauline; daughter, Linda Back of Davison; Roger Priestley (Joleen) of Decatur, IL; 4 grandchildren, Justin Bolen, Jessica Back, Joseph Priestley, Joshua Priestley; brother, Alonzo B.
