Donald Moritz

MORITZ, Donald M. - age 93, of Swartz Creek, died September 12, 2022. A graveside service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Mt. Rest Cemetery, 701 E. Steel Street, St. Johns, Michigan. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel,  8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society. Donald was born July 19, 1929 in Flint, the son of Cleo and Mary (Gripp) Moritz. He married June Elizabeth Reist on June 16, 1990 and she preceded him in death on November 4, 2020. Donald retired from Hamady Brothers Grocery. He was a veteran of the Korean War and enjoyed spending time in Oscoda, MI. Surviving are: many nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Luann. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Robin D'Arcy with Around the Clock who took care of Donald, seven days a week, and became more than a caregiver, but a friend.
