Donald Merry

Donald Duane Merry was born in Vanderbilt, MI on July 29, 1931. He passed away peacefully on June 15, 2023. A graveside service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Evergreen Hills Cemetery in Vanderbilt, MI. Donald leaves behind his loving wife, Barbara and their six loving children, Dawn Merry (Kendra and Maalik); Nicholas and Kathy Merry (Hannah), Craig and Nicole Merry (Ian and Andrew), Paul and Traci Merry (Xander, Elenea and Kailey), Crista Decker (Desmond) and Bradley Merry. He also leaves behind three loving children from a previous marriage, Bob Merry (Brian), Robin Merry and Randy Merry (Brandon and Dylan). He leaves behind two caring nephews, Tim Clark (Cheri) and Danny Clark and a niece, Tina Gibson (Troy). His family was the most important thing in his life and meant the world to him.

Don was a very proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. He was employed by various companies in management positions. He owned his own company and was an inventor. He was especially proud to be a Deputy on the Mounted Division of the Livingston County Sheriff's Department. He truly will be missed by all those who loved him.
