KOLB, Donald Edward, age 75, of Flint, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at home. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Monday, March 26, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Visitation will be Sunday 1-4 and 6-9PM at the funeral home. A military memorial service will be 7:00PM Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be 2:00PM Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Memorial donations may be made to V.F.W. Post #822 Honor Guard or to the Marine Corps League Flint Detachment Honor Guard. Donald was born November 16, 1936 in Pontiac the son of the late Franklin E. Kolb and Thelma E. (Sutherby) Flood. He married Darla Mathews on December 6, 1986 in Groveland Twp. Donald was employed by Buick as a set up man for 32 years until his retirement in 1996. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam War. Donald was a member of U.A.W Local 599, Grand Blanc Moose Lodge and Military Order of the Cooties, Arrowhead Veterans and the Devil Dogs. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W Post #822 and Marine Corps League Flint Detachment where he served on both Honor Guard Teams. Surviving are: 2 daughters, Angela Mahnke (Rodney) of Linden, Nadine Warner (Stephen Clemons) of Flint; 6 grandchildren, Brittany Villafane, Sgt. Jay Tijerina (Marthalena), Kellie Mahnke, Carter Johnson, Noah Mahnke, Niya Clemons; 3 great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Lilly and Jose; sister, Lauretta Glover of Davison; and several nieces and nephews.
