JONES, Donald Paul - age 87, of Fenton, died June 27, 2018. Funeral mass will be celebrated 2 PM Monday, July 2, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Rev. Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 PM - 2 PM Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Donald was born November 16, 1930 in Detroit, the son of William T. and Melvina (Bidigare) Jones. He was a graduate of University of Detroit Jesuit High School, General Motors Institute (Kettering University) and Wayne State University. Donald married Carole A. Peters on June 12, 1954. He retired from GM Chevy Engine Center in Warren in 1987 as an Engineering Manager. Donald enjoyed woodworking, golf and coaching Little League. He was an avid Detroit Tigers and Lions fan. Surviving are: wife, Carole of Fenton; four children, Julieanne Anderson of IN, Laureen (Mark) Efimoff of Beverley Hills, MI, Donald Jones, Jr., of CA, and Kathleen (Brady) Musson of WI; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: five siblings, Dolores, Mary, Bill, Bob and Ray. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton.
