Donald Earl Jessop

JESSOP, Donald Earl  age 75, of Palmetto, died Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Manatee Memorial Hospital, Bradenton, FL. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 6481 Faussett Rd., Howell with Fr. Gregg Pleiness celebrant. Interment will be held at St. Augustine Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden where a scripture service will be held at 7 PM. Mr. Jessop was born April 13, 1931 in Lansing, the son of Earl and Cora (Bowdish) Jessop. He married Mary Conklin on October 15, 1955. Mr. Jessop served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from General Motors as an Engineer. Mr. Jessop was an avid bridge player and an amateur HAMM radio operator. Surviving are: wife, Mary; two children, Terese (Lynwood) Gainer of Fenton, John (Sandra) Jessop of Hamtramck; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
