HOSMER, Donald B. -- Age 85, of Burton, died Thursday, April 19, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, April 24 at the Chapel at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc, Pastor Steven Buck officiating. Family and friends may gather at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Township at 10 AM Tuesday for procession to the cemetery at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Sunday, 1-3 and 5-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Court Street United Methodist Church or Last Chance Rescue (chosen because of his love for animals). Mr. Hosmer was born April 10, 1922 in Breckenridge, MI, the son of Harold and Clara (Thompson) Hosmer. He had resided in Burton since 1958. He was married to Ruth A. McVay on Febraury 4, 1944 in Flint and she preceded him in death Aprl 24, 1998. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps serving in WWII. Mr. Hosmer was a self-employed real estate broker. He was a member of the Court Street United Methodist Church. Surviving are: three children, Dr. Stephan (Vanessa) Hosmer of Voorhees, NJ, Gregory D. Hosmer of Flint, Martha Hosmer-Arion of Burton; daughter-in-law, Linda Hosmer of Flint; seven grandchildren, Nicole (Ryan) Kirby, Kelly (Craig) Mazurek, Brian (Cristin) Hosmer, Mason (Carla) Arion, Lindsay(Christine) Hosmer, Brooke Hosmer, Hannah Arion; two great-grandchildren, Hayley and Hudsen Mazurek.
