Donald E. HANSEN

HANSEN, Donald E.-- age 75, of Montrose, passed away October 24, 2011 at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing, MI. Don was born September 25, 1936 in Geneva, OH, the son of the late Jean E. Ockerman and Donald C. Hansen. He was a proud Navy man with two honorable discharges. He enjoyed fishing, landscaping, and bingo. He leaves behind his wife of 48 years Carole; and was the father of three sons, Donald E. of Maplegrove, Chris C., and David J., both of Montrose. He also left a sister Jane Griffin of E. Lansing; grandchildren; other family members and numerous friends. Special thanks to everyone at Genesys Hospice. Arrangements are with the Sharp Funeral Homes.
