GEORGE, Donald H. -- Age 79, of Flint, died Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at his home. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, August 25 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Rev. P. Thomas Wachterhauser officiating. Interment in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc, with a military honor guard service under the auspices of VFW-AMVETS Post 3720. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 PM Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Judes Childrens Hospital. Mr. George was born August 11, 1927 in Sonora, CA, the son of Curtis and Anna (Clark) George. He had resided in Flint for many years. He was married to Marion M. Sheldon on July 3, 1970 in Flint; she preceded him in death August 30, 1997. Mr. George retired from Buick in 1990 with 40 years of service. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 599 and AMVETS. Surviving are: four children,  Brenda Leisure, Sharon McCoy, and Gussie Broyles all of Paragould, AR, Connie Nelson of Tawas; sisters, Alice Steed of El Paso, TX, Francis Shill of Chandler, AZ; eight grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
