Donald Frederick Frew

In loving memory of Donald Frederick Frew, age 91, of Fenton, Michigan who peacefully passed on February 3rd, 2024. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Fenton Freedom Center, 2473 W. Shiawassee Ave, Fenton, MI 48430 with Pastor Jim Weigand officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Holly. Visitation will be  held 3:30 PM - 8 PM Monday, February 12, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. Donald’s life was one full of friends, travel, boating and family. Don made the most of every moment, had stories for every occasion, and found an element of fun in every day tasks. Donald was born on September 26th, 1932 to David and Elizabeth (Scott) Frew. Don was an avid collector of the unordinary, mostly to bring smiles to others or get a good laugh. He had a passion for woodcarving and shared his craftsmanship pride. You could often find Don cruising in one of his classic cars with a grand child in tow. He loved his lakeside homes and all of the serenity, adventure and friendship that lake life brought with it. Donald leaves behind children Mary (Robert) Cunningham, Judith (Steven) Sims, grandchildren Rachelle (Eric) Kleiman, Melissa (Robert) Barton, Brandon (Lauren Caprio) Sims, Alexis Rodgers,  Joshua (Liz) Cunningham, Sonya (Darren) Snow, Great-grandchildren Kylee Barton, Kassidy Barton, Reneé (Micah) Benson, Alida Elias, Lincoln Elias, Joel Kleiman, Brielle Kleiman, Mason Sims, Joshua Cunningham, Darren, Donovan, Damion, Deja, & Destiny Snow. Nieces and nephews Debbie (Dan) O'Conner, Gaye Frew, Jim Frew and their families. He also leaves behind special friend Ruth Webster. Donald was preceded in death by his companion of 53 years Evelyn Sweeney, daughter Diane Rodgers, brother Jim (Pat) Frew and nephew Scott Frew. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
