Donald (Donnie) T. Frashour passed quietly in his sleep on August 1, 2018. Born August 24, 1965, Don spent his youth doing all the things he loved, which always involved being outdoors. He was a proficient hunter, fisherman, trapper, and an outstanding artist. Don joined the Navy after graduating from Lapeer West High School and spent the next four years traveling the world and serving his country during Operation Desert Storm and was then honorably discharged. As a member of the first crew to serve aboard the USS Valley Forge, Don was a proud "Plank Owner" of that ship and enjoyed sharing his memories of his time at sea. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald S. Frashour, and his maternal grandparents, George and Virginia Rex and his paternal grandparents, Don and Ellen Frashour. Don is survived by his brother Doug Frashour, Mom, Janet (Rex-Frashour) Carpenter and stepfather Craig Carpenter, Uncles Tom and George Rex, Aunt Connie and Uncle Steven Vanderkarr, and Aunt Denise (Frashour) and husband Grant Franklin. A future memorial service is to be determined.
