Donald Forshee

Donald Ralph Forshee, 86, of Hilton Head Island, SC, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Beloved husband of Dorothy for 65 years, he is survived by two children, Matthew, Fort Wayne, IN, and Kevin, Bloomington, IL; five grandchildren, Rachel Rebecca, Jack, Ame'lie and Christopher; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Forshee of FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; his daughter Susan; and his two brothers Dan and Dave. Don was born January 13, 1936 in Baltimore, MD, to Ralph and Zelda Forshee. He was a 1954 graduate of Flint Central High School and a 1958 graduate of the General Motors Institute. Don had a very successful work career at Chevrolet in Flint and Bohn Heat Transfer in Danville, IL – ultimately retiring as President of that business. Don was an avid distance runner having completed 27 marathons. He met Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1971 and became a committed Christian from that time on, teaching and conducting numerous Bible studies over the years. He was a dedicated mentor and teacher for many men during his work career and in retirement. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint, MI. Donations may be made to Christian Renewal Church or the Pregnancy Center of the Low Country, Hilton Head.
