Donald Gene FOLGER

FOLGER, Donald Gene, age 83, of Clio, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010. A graveside service will be held 2:30 PM Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. Arrangements are by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Donald was born in Sistersville, West Virginia the son of Robert and Zelma (Woodburn) Folger. He was a veteran of the US Air Force having served in the Korean War. Donald was a loving husband and father. He was loved and admired by many friends and neighbors, retired from G.M., was an avid golfer. Survivors include, his wife, Mary Lou, son, Mike Folger of Florida, daughters, Sally Folger of Burton and Dawna Shaw of Davison, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his parents and 5 brothers, Robert Jr., Allen, Jack, Joe, and Jim. In lieu of flowers friends may make memorial contributions to the Genesee Humane Society.
