Donald L. FESSLER

FESSLER, Donald Lee - Age 79, of Fenton, died Sunday, July 26, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 1:00 PM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Adopt-A-Pet, 13575 Fenton Road, Fenton, MI 48430. Donald was born July 4, 1930 in Flint, the son of Leslie C. and Vernel (Hector) Fessler. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He married Joan D. DeCou July 7, 1951 in Flint. Donald had resided in Fenton for the past 30 years coming from Flint. He owned and operated Fessler and Bowman, Inc for many years. He was a devoted family man and an avid fisherman. Surviving are: wife, Joan D.; 4 children, Scott C. and wife Trisha Fessler of Fenton, Stephen M. Fessler and Julie Blankenship of Brighton, Susan F. and husband Ted Perry of Vero Beach, FL and Stacy F. and husband Troy Winter of Ann Arbor; 13 grandchildren; his faithful friend, "Buddy".
