ESTES, Donald Deaton -- Age 85, of Swartz Creek, died January 16, 2022. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday January 20 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc. Pastor Paul Kollek officiating. ( A live stream of the service will be available on Donald 's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.) Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday and 11AM until time of service at the funeral home. Donald was born December 11, 1936 in Flint the son of Harrison H. and Winnie M (Deaton) Estes. He was a part of the 1951 Mandeville High School Football Team that was inducted into the Greater Flint Sports Hall of Fame for their 9-0 record and outscoring their opponents 203 to 6 in that span. He married Charlotte Haley and had 5 children, he remarried Marlynn Roster and helped raise her 3 children. He was the owner and operator of Black and White Asphalt for over 30 years. Don loved vacationing regularly in Acapulco. He also loved wintering in Florida. Later in life he bought a house on the lake that he was very proud of and had many family and friends over creating great memories.
He is survived by wife, Marlynn; children, Greg (Debra), Brian (Cathy), Jeff (Collette), Melanie, Neil (Barbara); 3 step children, Dale David and Dawn; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Martha Kinder, Shirley Hawk.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Harry, Wayne and James Estes; first wife, Charlotte Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuenralhomes.com.
