CHAMBERS, Donald Keith - Age 91, of Swartz Creek, died Monday July 18, 2016. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday July 21 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek. Interment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be 3-8 PM Wednesday, and 12 PM until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Citizens For Animal Rescue and Emergencies (CARE). Donald was born October 20, 1924 in Flint the son of Harold Keith and Eleanor Marie (Davey) Chambers. He married Margaret Leiker On April 3, 1943; she preceded him in death on December 23, 1999. He then married Dorothy (Shannor) Emery on June 9, 2001. Donald was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. He was owner/operator of Chambers Communication for over 50 years. He was a member of St. Michaels Church and Norton Male Chorus. He truly enjoyed music. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Chambers; daughter, Donna Thompson; daughter-in-law, Sharon Chambers; 4 grandchildren, Connie Barron (Dennis Martineau) , Ronald (Shelly) Thompson Jr.; Michael (Teri) Chambers, Michelle (Ben) Drury; 12 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother, John Robert (Carol) Jackson; and also loved like a daughter, Jan Coburn.
