BENTLEY, Donald Paul- Age 81, of Flint, died Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at his residence. Â A Graveside Service will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris, immediately followed by a military tribute held under the auspices of V.F.W. Chevrolet Post #3087. Â Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Â Donald was born April 12, 1926 in Vassar, the son of Charles Henry and Minnie Elizabeth (Mondary) Bentley. Â He married Jessie Lois Harris and she preceded him in death August 22, 1985, he than married Verena Mae Hall June 13, 1987 in Flint. Â Donald was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. Â He had lived in Flint most of his life. Â Donald retired from GM Fisher Body I after 31 years of service. Â He was a member of the U.A.W. Local 581 and the Burton Eagles Airies #3814. Â Surviving are: wife, Verena Mae; 4 children, Darrell (Lorene) Bentley of Linden, Dennis (Greta) Bentley of Sanford, Sharon Phelps of Fenton, Marcia (David) Root of Burton; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; 3 step-children, Nancy Miller of Mt. Morris, Thomas (Beverly) Bentley of Flint, Karen (Terry) Prime of Sanford; sister, Peggy Schiestel of Flint. Â He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
