Dona Zeis-Jadwin

Zeis-Jadwin, Dona May - Age 99, of Fenton, died Friday, May 7, 2021.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 14, 2021 at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 7234 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc.  Pastor Nathan Allen officiating.  Burial in Davison Cemetery, Davison.  Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc Thursday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM and at church Friday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Dona was born May 1, 1922 in Bay City, the daughter of Charles and Olive (Hiscott) McEachern.  She received a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts from Albion College; did graduate work at the University of Wisconsin and University of Michigan; and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority for 78 years, receiving her 75 year certificate in 2018. She married Richard Gorrell Zeis September 7, 1946 in Flint and he preceded her in death October 25, 1980; she then married Donald Allen Jadwin September 1, 1989 in Charlevoix, and he preceded her in death February 20, 2006.  She had resided in Fenton since 2006 coming from Mt. Dora, FL, Charlevoix, and Davison.  Dona was a long time member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc; she also was a member of Good News for Women, National Honorary Art Fraternity, and she has taught at the Flint Institute of Arts.  She founded Left Bank Gallery in Flint with 5 other artists.

Surviving are: her daughter, Margaret "Peg" (Edward) DuBuc of Fenton; step son, Steven (Pamela) Jadwin of Swartz Creek; step daughter-in-law, Nona Jadwin of Charlevoix; and several step grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; and step son, Charles Jadwin.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
