Don Mckay

Don C. McKay (age 88) died Sept 7, 2021 after battling a long-term illness. Don was born in Unionville, Michigan. After High School graduation, he was stationed in post war Korea (US Air Force). He was employed as a welder journeyman at GM Fisher Body (Local 1292). Don was always an avid fisherman, partridge hunter, and loved the outdoors. In his younger years, he was known for his humor, fly fishing (Ye’ Old Fish Warden), and playing his blue-grass guitar. He is preceded in death by his parents Don L. McKay and Anna A. McKay (Clio, Mi). He is survived by his brother, Keith McKay (Ellsworth, MI); son, Alan McKay/Rose Judd (Owosso, MI); daughter, Sherri (McKay)/Kevin Cook (Charlotte, NC); and granddaughter, Falesha Davis (Michigan) and a great-grandson. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 6, 2022 at Thetford Township Cemetery in Clio. In lieu of flowers, please do a kind act to help out another in need.
