HADDON, Don E. - Age 97, of Flint met Jesus, Wednesday evening May 4, 2022. He was born October 23, 1924 in Holly, Michigan. He lived in Flint until he moved to his current residency at Woodhaven Assisted Living. He went to work at Buick in 1942 and retired in 1977. During this time he also served his country in the Army stationed in England during WWII.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor, love of his dogs, love of sweets (pies, cakes, cookies and especially candy) and camping trips up to Indian River.
Preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, June Smith Haddon; parents, James and Violet Haddon; brothers, Jimmy, Winslow and Burton. He is survived by his two children, David (Kay) Haddon of Swartz Creek and Cathy (Bob) Laquerre of League City, TX; brother, Duane Haddon; sister, Mary Kirk; several nieces and nephews. His legacy also includes five grandchildren, Chris (Stephanie) Laquerre, Scott (Erika) Haddon, Amie (Michael) Arnold, Jennifer (Pastor Dennis) Tanner and Pastor Jeff (Courtney) Haddon and 13 great-grandchildren.
No services will be held at this time. Committal Service will be at the Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
