NOVAK, Dolores V. (Jagielnik) - 79, of Swartz Creek, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2009 at home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. Fr. Steven Mattson celebrant. Entombment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Sunday and 10 AM -8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM. Visitation will also be held 10 AM until the time of mass at the church on Tuesday. Dolores was born November 10, 1930 in Flint, to the late Andrew and Bernice (Podczedyka) Jagielnik. She graduated from All Saints Catholic High School in 1948 and married Floyd R. Novak on September 24, 1953. Surviving are husband of 56 years, Floyd; sons, Lawrence (Angela) of Flushing, Scott of Jackson, MI; daughter, Patricia (Clint) Carlson of Swartz Creek; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Adeline (Leonard) Griffin of Davison; sister-in-law, Jean Jagel; brother-in-law, Harry Novak; sister-in-law, Florence James. She was preceded in death by: sisters, Lottie Trop, Joan Wilson, Valeria Jagel, Virginia Bedard; brother, Edward Jagel; brother-in-law, Robert James; sister-in-law, Lorraine Novak.
