Dollie Mae Tibbits

TIBBITS,  Dollie Mae --  age 75, formerly of Swartz Creek, died at home in New Mexico, Friday September 3,2004.  Mrs.Tibbits was born December 9, 1928 in West Branch the daughter of Erastus and Sarah (Ingles) Osborne.  She had lived in the Swartz Creek area most of her life.  She and William Tibbits were married, July 30, 1949 in Rankin.  He preceded her in death in1949.  Mrs. Tibbits enjoyed crocheting, bird watching, especially hummingbirds.  She was a loving, caring mother and grandmother.  Surviving are 2 daughters; Lois Bergquist of Prescott, Michigan and Dianne Alsop and husband Bob of Santa Teresa, New Mexico.  There are 6 grandchildren; Consuella, Martha, Nathan, Noah, Sara and Josie. Six great-grandchildren; David, Tyler, Jammie, Paige, Natalie and Samual. Further survivors include 8 step-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a dear special friend Jo Stults.  Mrs.Tibbits was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Services will be11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 9, 2004 at the Sharp Funeral Home Miller Rd. Chapel Miller Rd.  Pastor Russ Park will officiate and burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. today and Wednesday from 12 noon to 4:00 P.M. and6 to 8:00 P.M.  Memorial gifts in memory of Mrs. Tibbits may be given to the American Diabetes Association or to a hospice of choice.  On Line condolences may be offered to the family at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
