DOHM, Dick D. - Age 87, of Clio, died Thursday, November 23, 2006 at Avalon Hospice. Private services will be held. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at a later date at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Dick was born July 14, 1919 in Traverse City, the son of Frank and Maude (Wheeler) Dohm. He was a WWII veteran and Pearl Harbor survivor, serving in the U.S. Army from October 19, 1940 to June 20, 1945. He retired from General Motors in 1979. Dick was a member and past commander of American Legion Post 496, a member and past Chef Degare of Voiture 1116, 40 & 8. He also served as a past state officer for the 40 & 8. He was a member of VFW Post 4087, Davison, and a member of Eagles Aries 3541, Harrison. He was an avid sports enthusiast, excelling in baseball, bowling, and boxing. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Wallace of Florida and 3 grandsons, Joshua, McKenzie, and Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Reva; and brother, Cecil.
