Dick Carpenter

CARPENTER, Dick L. - Age 82, of Flint, died Friday, November 26, 2021. Private family service. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Dick was born August 28, 1939 in Flint, the son of Eugene Richard and Mildred Opal (Morse) Carpenter. He married Joyce Carol Rivett in Flint on January 2, 1958 and she preceded him in death on November 26, 2014. Dick retired from Kroger Food Stores formerly Hamady and Kessel Food Market with 44 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking; in his youth he enjoyed trapping and hunting. Surviving are: daughter, Tracey Malin of Flushing; siblings, Tom (Donna) Carpenter of Cheboygan, Phyllis Johnson of OH; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Mildred Carpenter; sister Signe and brothers, James, David, and Gary. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
