MICK, Dianne K. (Andrykovich) of Swartz Creek, died Friday, February 6, 2009 at Brian's House, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Through it all never complaining and always with a positive attitude. She was an inspiration. There will be a Memorial Service for Dianne at St. Paul Luteran Church on Saturday, Febraury 14, at 11:00 AM. Visitors may meet with the family at 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Pastor Steven Maske officiating. She taught school for many years, first third grade at Brownell Elementary Flint for 3 years, and Kindergarten at St. Paul Lutheran School for 25 years. She loved teaching and she loved the kids. She was active in the Sunday and Vacation Bible School programs, and worked on the school benefit dinner for many years. Dianne had many hobbies, Tole painting, macrame, woodworking, gardening, photography, cooking, sewing and quilting. She so much enjoyed making quilts with the St. Paul quilting group. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. You are missed so much Dianne. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran School Schlorship Fund. Surviving are: husband, Melville; sons, Deri and David; grandchildren, Connor and Logan; father, John Andrykovich; brother, Larry and wife D'Ann. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances. A special thank you to the staff at Brian's House and to Dr. Arora and the chemotherapy nurses at McLaren Cancer Center for their wonderful care.
