Diane Elaine WOLVERTON

WOLVERTON, Diane Elaine - Age 61, of Gaines, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek, with Pastor David Wichert officiating. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Gaines. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 1-9 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute or Children's Miracle Network. Diane was born July 25, 1950 in Flint, the daughter of Harold and Elaine (Renn) Wolverton. She was a 1968 graduate of Swartz Creek High School. She had resided in Gaines her entire life. Diane retired from GM Chevrolet V-8 Plant after 35 years of service. She served on the Gaines Village Council. She enjoyed bowling, fishing with her father, softball, keno, bunco and coffee hour at Gaines Bar. Surviving are: mother, Elaine Wolverton of Gaines; 2 brothers, Dennis "Ruby" Wolverton of Argentine and David Wolverton of Flint; 2 sisters, Darlene Ketchum of Swartz Creek and Dawn Williams of Gaines; several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
