Diane Liggett

Liggett, Diane Purcell - Age 66, of Flushing, died July 3, 2018. Services will be held 4:30 PM Wednesday, July 11 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, at our temporary location at the Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 3 PM until the time of service at 4:30 PM Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Whaley Children's Center. Diane was born December 8, 1951 in Flint the daughter of Darrell and Patricia Jeanne (Opie) DeMoss. Diane was gracious and giving of her time to help others, a beautiful trait. She had so many friends. She was a generous, loving, giving and thoughtful person. She gave more than she had and would do anything to make someone feel good. She loved to cook for others and she made the best Deviled Eggs which were her staple during the holidays. She was so proud of her sons she so successfully raised and absolutely adored her beautiful grandchildren. Diane was heavily involved in the Genesee County Legal Community since graduating from Flushing High School. She worked as a legal assistant for Craig Henry, Jim Dillard, Richard Austin among others. Diane was a Christian all her life. Most recently she attended Cornerstone Free Methodist Church in Flushing. Diane never knew a stranger and made friends wherever she went. Surviving are: children , Mark and wife Kelly Purcell, and their children Hannah and Chloe of Greenville, SC, Jeff and wife Kelly Purcell, and their children Lincoln and Weston of Pickerington, OH; mother Patricia Jeanne DeMoss; sisters, Denise and husband Tom Kilpatrick , Deb and husband John Swanson, Darcy and husband Bart Bierer, Janie and husband Kelly Peasley; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Darrell DeMoss; and sister and brother-in-law, Darla and Boyce Ruegsegger; and great-nephew, Andrew Bradley.
