Diane Lynn HANEY

HANEY, Diane Lynn - Age 60, of Grand Blanc, passed away January 26, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4285 McCandlish Road, Grand Blanc. Bishop Dennis Brooks officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint Monday from 5-9 PM and at church Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time of service. Diane was born November 4, 1951 in Highland Park, the daughter of Don and Shirley (Golden) Kindred, the third of seven children. She married her sweetheart Barry on August 24, 1971 in Dearborn Heights. Diane was blessed to be the mother of two angel children, Dylan and Elizabeth, for whom she was prepared to give all she had. She also loved being a grandmother and caring for the little ones. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society and Primary organizations as a teacher and leader. She was an advocate for the disadvantaged, fighting her own battle with polio and post-polio symptoms. Her poetry struck home with those who grieved or felt loss, reflecting in her belief in a better life hereafter. She leaves to mourn her passing her loving husband, Barry "Bear"; son, Dylan and wife Kristy Haney and their children, Jaden, Zane, Kegan, Makala of Charlotte, NC; son-in-law, Greg Smith and his son, Kyle of Fenton; her parents, Don and Shirley Kindred; as well as all her siblings.
