Diane Brier

BRIER, Diane Marion - Age 75, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020. Private graveside service will take place at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Diane was born on October 22, 1945 in Upland, California the daughter of Aldon and Dorothy (Perakovic) Mennis. She received her Bachelors Degree in 1967 and her Masters Degree in 1970, both from Central Michigan University. Diane taught physical education for the Flint Community Schools for many years. She and Glen Brier were united in marriage on April 10, 1971 in Flint. Diane was a member of the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church and the hand bell choir. She was a former member of the Michigan Education Association and the National Education Association. Diane was a member of the National and Michigan Multiple Sclerosis Association. In her free time she enjoyed bowling and volunteering for the American Red Cross in Flint. She is survived by her two sons, Duane (Michelle) Brier and Shawn Brier; and two grandchildren, Destiny and Christipher Brier.
