The family takes comfort in the cherished memories they shared and the enduring legacy he leaves behind.

Dewey was born on December 22, 1939, in Kermit, West Virginia, to the late Leonard and Nettie Rose. A man of deep faith and unwavering devotion to his family, Dewey lived his life grounded in his love for his Lord, his beloved wife of 51 years, Connie, and their children and grandchildren. His commitment to his family and faith defined who he was.

Dewey was a Tool and Die maker for close to 40 years at Fourslides Incorporated in Madison Heights, Michigan until his retirement in 2002.

Dewey’s passions were as big as his heart. He was an avid gardener, his gardens were so big and bountiful he would feed his family, friends, neighbors and his church. He cherished the great outdoors, spending countless hours hunting and fishing, often accompanied by family. He had a love for woodworking and could be seen out in his barn many evenings working on different projects.

A commemoration of Dewey’s life will take place on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Sharp Funeral homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI. The family invites friends to gather for a time of fellowship and remembrance from 11 AM until 1 PM Monday.

Dewey Rose leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and a life well lived, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His memory will continue to flourish, like the gardens he so lovingly tended.
